More Photoshop practice on one of my favorite characters. D'Orca is a part of our Joe Comics [link] Universe, where heroes and villains all have more than a few screws loose. Had we won the Zuda Invitational in July 2008, D'Orca would have made his first appearance within the next 5 pages of story, at the apartments' Summer Pool Party. We almost peed ourselves many times over the hero who fancies himself like Aquaman, but doesn't even know how to swim. For the original drawing, character design and pencils by my brother Gabe , D'Orca logo and inks by me.

For the coloring, I decided to keep the look similar to what we've done with many of the Joe Comics pages, manipulating photos as the backgrounds for our comic drawings. At the same time, I wanted to soften the look of the original black and white inked drawing so the main figure looked a little more painted than traditional inked comic art.
